Titanfall's Possibility of Failing

The recent years with EA's big name brands of games have ended in catastrophic failure due to poor server support. With the rise of Respawn Entertainment seeing its debut into the gaming scene, it's in my humble opinion that the only way Titanfall could fail, will be from the lack of server power. Just trying to remember off the top of my head.

Sim City released last year went down into a heavy spiral with continuous problems connecting online. Due to EA's decision of forcing an always online connection bogged the game down as well as their servers. It also didn't help that they put on a DRM for the game giving some people just issues with installing the game. Due to this I feel that Sim City failed.

Battlefield 4 a game released late last year had tremendous success with it's beta testing. The game felt polished and balanced with quite minimal issues. Unfortunately when the full release came out it was another game with seemingly unending problems. Majority of those problems being server side. This issue effected all platforms as well. I could try to think of other things EA has done wrong but I'll leave that for another day.

So as I'm sure everyone who knows about Titanfall by now, also knows that EA has agreed to give Respawn Entertainment full creative control. Sadly as it's the case EA is still trying to put hidden strings on. EA's decision to refuse to make the game available to Sony Playstation 4 users is honestly a bad idea. Not only is the decision going to cut into their profit but will also effect Respawn Entertainments as well. Granted it was said that this obstacle will be for Titanfall only and not any future Titanfall titles.

Although I'm not personally sure how the multiplayer works, I base this post on the theory that multiplayer will be using EA's servers which I know don't do quite well. Especially with recent new games. This puts the success of the games launch on EA's footstep. Look forward to the Titanfall beta coming this February 14, 2014.

Titanfall will be available only on Microsoft products. XBOX 360, XBOX ONE, and PC.
Release Date: March 11, 2014.
