Austin was one of the lucky few to be able to participate in the warm up events at the Pan AM Games.
Four months after suffering a spinal cord injury, Smiths Falls resident Neil Doef was there to carry the torch at the 2015 Pan Am Games. He even managed to stand up and light the cauldron on his own.
